Acca Insurance: Great Football Betting Offer for Accumulator Fans

ACCA Insurance

Everyone loves an acca. The drama, the suspense, that crushing sense of defeat when your final selection lets you down. Well, here to soften the blow is acca insurance, a great offer that takes away the pain of a near miss on your football accumulator.

It’s always nice to get a little something back, and although having your stake returned (which is often what happens, but not always) isn’t even close to cashing in a 5 fold acca, it will at least soften the blow a bit.

A lot of bookies now offer acca insurance, so we will explain how the offer works, how insurance on accumulators work and do our best to fill in any gaps.

What is acca insurance?

Acca Insurance 2

Acca insurance is offered by a range of the best bookies and can be applied to many different sports, you may also be required to opt into the offer to trigger it. If you navigate to your bookmaker’s promotions page the offer will be there if it exists, and any further instructions should be clearly laid out.

The precise nature of the offer varies from site to site, however, but what is common to all of the different promotions is that they will give you some compensation when you don’t quite land your acca. Usually you have to get all but one of your selections right to qualify for insurance.

So in the most basic terms possible, acca insurance is when you get a little something back for almost winning your bet. As ever though, you should always check the relevant site for the full terms and conditions.

But before you go and do that, here are some of the most important things to check when it comes to insurance on accumulators:

  • Specific Markets – some acca insurance offers may apply to all sports and all markets. Others may just be for very specific markets, for example Premier League match odds only.
  • Selections and Odds – always check if there is a minimum number of selections needed to qualify. There might also be minimum odds involved, either per selection or for the complete acca.
  • What Do You Get? – most acca insurance promos return your stake on losing bets. However, this usually comes as a free bet as opposed to withdrawable cash. There will always be a maximum refund value too.
  • Exclusions – check for any exclusions, the most obvious one is that bets that are cashed out might not be eligible. Acca insurance may also only be valid for certain customers (for example UK/Irish residents only).
  • Time Limits – often, only your first acca each day is eligible. Note also that any free bets or bonuses awarded may expire if you don’t use them within a given time.
