Betting on both teams to score (also known as BTTS) in a given football match is self-explanatory in that your bet wins if both teams score at least one goal during the match (normal time only, unless specifically stated otherwise). You can also bet against both teams to score, in which case you win your wager if one or both teams fail to find the net during the match.

As you will see in our Both Teams to Score Betting article, this ever-popular bet can be a very good way to beat the bookies. Whether you follow trends or go against the grain, you can often get some very nice odds on this simple but exciting bet.

To increase your potential winnings, you might also consider picking out a few matches and adding them together to form an BTTS accumulator (if so, check out the BetVictor Back of the Net promo which gives money back on losing BTTS accas).

Basel v Manchester City (Tuesday 13th February) – both teams to score

Manchester City have one of the easiest draws on paper for the English sides, but we still fancy them to concede on their travels to Switzerland. St Jakub’s Park hasn’t always been the happiest hunting grounds for British sides in recent years and City have looked a little frail at the back lately. That said, we can’t see the Swiss champions stopping Pep Guardiola’s side form scoring.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score at 10/11 with Betfred

Juventus v Tottenham Hotspur (Tuesday 13th February) – both teams NOT to score

Tottenham Hotspur had a great record in the group stages and after beating Real Madrid they won’t fear anyone. We do however, think this game with Juventus will be a tricky one and it is certainly a game that could go either way. First legs are often cagey affairs and we can see either keeping a clean sheet in this one.

Betting Tip: Both teams NOT to score at 9/10 with Coral

FC Porto v Liverpool (Wednesday 14th February) – both teams to score

Liverpool always seem to be good value for both sides to score, especially on the road and we can see them conceding away at Porto. The Reds seem to struggle defensively and the addition of Virgil van Dijk will hopefully solve that particular issue. Going forwards however they have less of a problem and they scored an absolute bagful of goals in the group stage, we expect that to continue in the knockout rounds.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score at 8/13 with Bet365

Real Madrid v Paris St Germain (Wednesday 14th February) – both teams to score

The glamour tie of this round sees Paris St Germain travel to the Spanish capital to take on Real Madrid. The Parisian side played out a high scoring tie with Barcelona last year and neutrals will be hoping for a repeat this year. With so many attacking players taking to the field, we can see it being a busy night for both goalkeepers.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score at 4/9 with Bet365

Ostersunds v Arsenal (Thursday 15th February) – both teams to score

Ostersunds have had a fairy tale run so far in the competition and we would back them to at least score in this clash with Arsenal. The Swedes landed a dream tie with Arsenal and the Scandinavians have a distinctly English flavour to them. Arsenal concede quite a few on the road and we are backing BTTS on Thursday.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score at 19/20 with Bet365

Leicester City v Sheffield United (Friday 16th February) – both teams to score

Sheffield United recently won a Yorkshire derby against Leeds United and they will be full of confidence as they head to the King Power. The goals have dried up a little for Chris Wilder’s side, but they could cause Leicester a few problems. The Foxes score quite a lot, but they also concede a fair few and we like the look of both sides to score in this clash.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score at 10/11 with Bet365

Chelsea v Hull City (Friday 16th February) – both teams NOT to score

Hull City are scrapping to avoid relegation in the Championship and so this tie with Chelsea is probably an unwelcome distraction for Nigel Adkins’ side. The visitors don’t tend to score many and whilst Chelsea will surely rotate their side (they play Barcelona in the week after this) they should be too strong for the Tigers.

Betting Tip: Both teams NOT to score at 4/6 with Betfair

Huddersfield Town v Manchester United (Saturday 17th February) – both teams NOT to score

Huddersfield Town recently lost 2-0 to Manchester United in a Premier League match and we don’t think that their fortunes will improve much this weekend. The Yorkshire side don’t seem to have many goals in the side and that could well be their undoing in this FA Cup fifth round tie.

Betting Tip: Both teams NOT to score at 5/6 with BetVictor

Rochdale v Tottenham Hotspur (Sunday 18th February) – both teams NOT to score

Rochdale have had to relay the pitch ahead of this tie with Tottenham Hotspur and we think that they could cause Spurs a few problems. The Londoners drew 1-1 with Newport County recently and the Dale will certainly look to that result for inspiration. Spurs are the undoubted favourites to get the win here but don’t bet against Rochdale causing them a problem or two.

Betting Tip: Both teams NOT to score at 13/8 with Betfair

Wigan Athletic v Manchester City (Sunday 18th February) – both teams to score

Despite being in League 1, Wigan have cruised past two Premier League sides already during the FA Cup and they will be trying to make it a third on Monday. The two sides know all about each other with Wigan beating Manchester City 1-0 in the FA Cup Final so the Citizens will certainly be out for revenge. They should get it as well, but the Latics have been on fire in front of goal lately and City’s eyes may well be elsewhere.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score at 5/4 with Betfair

Leicester City v Stoke City (Saturday 24th February) – both teams to score

Leicester City and Stoke City have two of the highest both sides to score percentages in the Premier League and we like the look of BTTS in this fixture. Stoke City are in all kinds of trouble at the bottom of the league and with five points from their last five games, they could do with picking up some points pretty quickly.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score at 5/6 with Ladbrokes

Brighton and Hove Albion v Swansea City (Saturday 24th February) – both teams NOT to score

Brighton and Swansea are both still very much in the relegation battle and this could be a very important game come the end of the season. Swansea have seen something of a revival under Carlos Carvahal but they are not out of the woods yet and could do with a win on the south coast. We think this could be a tight, cagey game with both defences on top.

Betting Tip: Both teams NOT to score at 8/11 with BetVictor

Liverpool v West Ham (Saturday 24th February) – both teams to score

Liverpool have a good defensive record at home, but we think that they could come unstuck against West Ham on Saturday. The home side will also have to contend with fatigue having been handed an away trip to Porto during the week. The Hammers have picked up in recent weeks and they have some good attacking players. Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez hitting the back of the net in their last fixture.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score at 10/11 with Bet365

West Bromwich Albion v Huddersfield Town (Saturday 24th February) – both teams NOT to score

Huddersfield Town have seen only one third of their matches finish without a clean sheet and we reckon it will be a quiet day for both goalkeepers at the Hawthorns. This is another match that could be a tight and cagey affair and we are backing a clean sheet in this scrap between two relegation-threatened sides.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score at 8/11 with BetVictor

Arsenal v Man City (Sunday 25th February) – both teams to score

‘Tight and cagey’ seem to be the buzzwords in this week’s preview, but we think the Carabao Cup Final will be anything but. Both sides are very attacking and we can’t see either side deviating from their attacking principles. With plenty of top attackers taking to the pitch, this could well be a high scoring affaur.
